Eating is an act of self-love

Eating is probably our most intimate experience with the outside world: everything we eat becomes us, our body, our organs and our blood. As such the quality and functioning of our cells, and therefore our health condition depends, first and foremost, upon the food we eat. However, due to old habits, family and community traditions, publicity or other external influences, it can also be extremely challenging!

One of the best ways to start adopting a healthy diet is to engage in home cooking. If you have some support it can be a lot easy and fun and it will definitely inspire you to continue trying new and healthy recipes!

More important than excluding certain foods, is to simply introduce new ways to cook healthy and tasty foods. This will naturally crowd-out all the less-good stuff on your fridge and kitchen cupboards!

There are many different ways to eat healthy, so it’s really a matter of start cooking your favourite foods!

Here are some ideas for your plant-based cooking classes:

  • Fresh pasta;
  • Fermented foods;
  • Bread, focaccia and pizzas;
  • Healthy desserts;
  • Breakfast and snacks;
  • Macrobiotic meals;
  • Plant-based meals, or;
  • Vegetal milks and cheeses.

So… Let’s Get Cooking?

Testimonial

As a physiotherapist, I was having a hard time balancing my professional and personal life. My professional life was draining and not fulfilling. After my days at the clinic, I was not able to do anything good… I was scrolling my instagram feed pointlessly… I was exhausted at the end of my days and feared my days at the clinic.

Today, I have found a better balance between my private and professional life and I put myself first. I set up morning and evening routines that allow me to recharge so that I can be fully available to others around me (whether it be with my patients or with loved ones). I organize my days to have time to pause and recharge. I have learned to know the rhythm that suits me the best and modified my daily routine accordingly.

I am in a more global life balance process that goes well beyond physical well-being, I am in search of fulfillment on all levels of my being (physical, emotional, psychological, social,…). This balance is not only based on my diet and my physical activity, but also through a more fulfilling social life, a resourcing environment and stimulating personal projects.

I really like Gonçalo’s ability to analyze and step back. Having a more objective outside view helps to have realizations. From his life experience, Gonçalo manages to understand what we are going through and succeeds in gently guiding us towards decisions that really serve us.

And then the extra bonus, his cooking classes are amazing, I am so happy to have learned how to make such good bread with such ease. According to my boyfriend, who is French and loves bread so much, it is the best bread he has ever eaten 😉
